100 Dog Portraits
Painting Rosie was so much fun. It was as though she couldnt wait to be painted! Her soft face seemed to literally appear before me.
Zoe literally saved her owners life! She sniffed and scratched at her mama's chest until she went to the doctor to see what could be troubling the little dog. After tests, they determined she had breast cancer and were able to treat her and she is now in good health. The doctor told her, "Your little dog saved your life!"

So many colors-so little time!
No one told me that sleep deprivation was going to be part of painting. I used to be more balanced in my approach toward art. I had produced a body of work in acrylic and oil and fancied myself an artist, but nothing could have prepared me for watercolor! I took one class and I was ruined for normal. Im obsessed! Once I begin painting I lose all track of time. Hours go by and I dont realize what time it is or how long I have been painting. Ive started a work in my studio at 10:00pm and realized a "minute later" that it was 4am. I wonder if DaVinci ever painted by candlelight? Thank goodness for electricity.
It is a struggle to find good quality studio time. I dont want to isolate myself in the studio and become unresponsive to my family, but all those colors call to me! You just never know when you will paint something truly amazing.....
